As COVID-19 continues to affect people around the world, we hope that everyone in the Arbisoft community has managed to stay safe and healthy. This pandemic is unlike anything we could have predicted, and it has left no person or business untouched. Companies, big or small, around the world have introduced procedures and guidelines to cope with the changing world and continue their operations while keeping their workforce safe and driven.
Arbisoft has been proactive in adopting safety measures for our team and making sure that our customers are not affected by the change. That being said, here is a quick update on the steps we took to ensure smooth transition of teams to work-from-home and how we manage our daily workflow.
How we prepared for the challenge
We gradually prepared the teams to move towards work-from-home setup: In the first week of March, all team leads were asked to create work-from-home guidelines as part of the company’s Business Continuity Preparedness. By the second week of March, Arbisoft’s entire workforce was advised to work from home for their and their loved ones’ safety.
While the company created a general framework for work-from-home, team leads were entrusted with the task to create specific guidelines for their teams that suit the clients’ requirements. This was to ensure that despite working remotely, Arbisoft’s customers can certainly expect the same high-quality standards as before when it comes to our software, service, and support.
Productivity is a key concern during work from home. Our basic guidelines cover the three most important aspects of work-from-home; communication, work scheduling and data security.
The teams across the organization are in sync with administration, IT and People Operations & Development (POD) teams concerning the work from home status. Most of them have been facilitated with internet devices to ensure uninterrupted work.
We understand the importance of maintaining smooth communication and collaboration; particularly during difficult times. The teams are advised to stay connected with each other and with their clients and make sure everyone is informed about work updates regularly. Besides team meetings, they are required to have one-on-one meetings with the CEO to discuss work updates and challenges while working from home.
Teams are particularly concerned about data security and make every effort to follow complete security guidelines and ensure that their devices are not vulnerable to any harm.
Following WHO guidelines, POD also created an internal guide for the Arbisoft team to inform them of COVID-19 — its symptoms, precautionary measures and myths. This is to ensure that while working from home, they are maintaining safe distance and social isolation to avoid spread of the virus.
We offer complete support to the Arbisoft’s community and hope that together we manage to work through this time of crisis and uncertainty.
